The relatively small number of people really makes you feel like you’re staying at an exclusive beach club with a private beach. The waves are very small and so you can go into the 75-80 degree water and just relax with a beverage or play with the kids without having waves constantly smacking you. The small waves are caused by the Coral Reef which is only about 50 feet out from the shore and extending miles out into the ocean. The Coral Reef makes it a really good place to snorkel or scuba dive. Professional diving tours are offered by hundreds of experts in the Tulum area alone. I’m definitely planning on doing some scuba diving when I come back.

My next trip can’t possibly come any quicker. The entirety of the Yucatan is so beautiful. Cancun and Playa del Carmen have so much to offer too.
